In contrast to the Brushless DC Motor (BLDCM), the BLDCM replaces the mechanical commutator with an electronic commutator, thereby combining the excellent speed regulation performance of the BLDCM with the advantages of a simpler structure, absence of commutation sparks, reliable operation, and ease of maintenance found in AC motors. This development board is designed for promoting chip solutions and is not available for external sale. Principle overview The BLDC-DK615 is an evaluation board for brushless DC motor-driven systems, supporting both inductive and non-inductive drives and designed for use with development boards such as EasyARM615, EasyDSP28027, and SmartCortex M3-1700. It is a fully industrial-grade design, equipped with safety features against static electricity, surges, group pulses, and radiative conduction. The BLDC-DK615 is governed by PWM, ADC, GPIO, and QEI modules within the microcontroller. PWM manages the three-phase bridge circuit for motor winding commutation; GPIO captures the motor’s Hall sensor readings to determine the rotor’s position; ADC detects the motor’s back EMF for non-inductive driving to judge throtor’s position.
